Sometimes you just have to PUMP THE BREAKS!

Sis, sometimes you just have to pump the breaks and do absolutely NOTHING. Close the laptop, put the phone down, take 15 minutes away from the kids, stop responding to emails, no social media and the list goes on.. Yes, PBG is a brand that I'm building for Women who have God, Goals and Grind BUT, self-care is an absolute MUST boo.


Honestly speaking sis, I've missed the mark so many times on just taking the time I needed for me to be able to simply; re-group, re-align and re-fuel. When I don't.. I can see and feel the difference in all areas of my life; mentally, physically, within my creativity, my business and in my relationships because, i'm not operating at my best and for better words ON EMPTY!! Sis, let me tell you!!!! Burnouts are VERY REAL and anxiety & stress can both be killers!!


Now, I'm very aware that being a woman comes with a pocket full of SUPER POWERS. We were built to; birth, build, grow, nurture and so much more BUT, even the most high took a break. Genesis 2:2-3 reads And on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done. So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation.


When we don't properly refuel ourselves with R & R, we are no good to our families, business, spouse, children and those who rely on us daily. Our mental health struggles, our physical health struggles, our productivity struggles, our creativity struggles, our relationships struggle and most importantly our FAITH struggles.


Sis, you just read the scripture for yourself.. even GOD TOOK A BREAK. With that being said, I've created a list of 10 ideas for your Self-Care SATURDAY or SUNDAY whichever day you prefer.


10 SELF-CARE IDEAS TO HELP YOU UN-WIND AND LOVE ON YOU!

  1. Go for a 30 minute walk.

  2. Take a nice long bubble bath.

  3. Journal your thoughts with your favorite cup of tea.

  4. Light your favorite candles and meditate.

  5. Do some yoga.

  6. Try a DIY project for a little creative fun.

  7. Go on a solo date.

  8. Read a book.

  9. Do some gardening.

  10. Take a nap or lounge in bed a little longer than usual.

Sis, just pick a day and take some time out to LOVE on YOU. In order for us to be God's best we have to be at our best.


I"ll pray that you begin to find balance.
